Join Beatbullying online MARCH against bullying- Thursday 1st 2012
An incredible 512,550 people have already joined the Big March 2012, calling with one voice on the United Nations to enshrine explicitly in the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of the Child “The right of every child to be safe from bullying, violence and the fear of violence by their peers, as well as from abuse from adults.”
Beatbullying, the UK’s leading bullying prevention charity, is leading The Big March 2012. Together with organisations like Google, Facebook and AOL, they’re asking the United Nations to insert an explicit provision in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child to protect children worldwide from bullying.
The Big March 2012 will be the world’s first global, digital protest. Millions of avatars of children, parents, teachers and celebrities will march across the websites of some of the world’s leading brands, and deliver an online petition to the UN.
The Big March 2012 campaign website, the Big March Park is packed with interactive content and virtual tents. Here, children, parents and teachers alike can engage with a variety of educational and fun activities and get practical advice on how to deal with bullying.
